My name is Xu Jing from China. In 2006, I came to Finland to study international business in University of Vaasa. In the year of 2009, I got the Master degree in Economics and Business Administration. My husband is from Seinäjoki and right now we are settled down in Seinäjoki, but I often travel between China and Finland.
In the year of 2011, I was sent by Exelcomposites Oyj as an expatriate to do marketing research in its Nanjing branch. Exelcomposites is a leading composite technology company that designs and manufactures composite products for demanding industrial applications. I have developed the distribution channels for the products named “carbon fiber reinforced plastics”; and also build up the business relationships between Exelcomposites and the Chinese textile machinery manufacturers. I mainly responsible for the Exelcomposites’ booth built-up and other marketing communications in 2011 Shanghai International Composites Expo.
I have worked in Haklift ABT Oy, which is the leading manufacturer and solution provider for lifting and load equipment in Finland. My task was to assist the sourcing manager in verifying the Chinese suppliers and finding out the lifting equipment manufactures cluster in China. I organized and accompanied the MD and purchasing manager to visit the Chinese suppliers in different cities.
I have varied experience of Chinese and Finnish marketing. I will graduate from SeAMK in 2017, but I have already worked for Finnish companies building connections between Finland and China. In 2014, working with Poppaa Entertainment and their mobile game “Battle Buzz“, I contacted Tencent to find opportunities for cooperation and travelled to China to represent Poppaa. My home town is Shanghai but I have now lived in the Nordics for 9 years, so I have a good understanding of the differences in business culture between the East & the West.
